On February 24th we have a brilliant Virgo Full Moon to support us in doing deep inner personal work. While the energy of Virgo veers towards practicalities, to-do lists, and perfectionism, we are being asked to question whether or not cooperating in “business as usual” is really the right approach. Attending notions of productivity are only distractions from the deeper individual and collective soul work at hand. This is a Full Moon for listening to your heart beat, and for recommitting to your cosmic values.
Under the influence of this Full Moon, step outside of the everyday minutia of your life and adopt a hawk’s view; notice what patterns your habits are creating, and examine your energetic footprint on the ecosystem. Virgo is a sign of daily devotions that lead to healing. How can we be sure that our small everyday actions are contributing to our health and the health of the whole? It may be that this Full Moon shows us the ways in which we may need to adjust our behavior in order to cultivate holistic wellness. Holistic wellness being a wellness that is rooted in our interconnection, our quest for liberation, and our desire for a healing planet. The Moon in Virgo reminds us that our wellness is linked with our ability to give and receive care from the collective.
But this is not simply a Virgo Full Moon. Sitting next to the Pisces Sun is Mercury and Saturn, creating quite a bit of tension. We may be struggling to communicate our current discomforts, or find ourselves unable to actually release what is burdening us. If you find yourself fixating on your personal limitations, how can you refocus on healing solutions or innovate on ways to change your current situation? Also active in this Full Moon chart are Venus and Mars conjoined in Aquarius forming a square with Jupiter. This trio of planetary influences has passions running high, with an innate magnetism towards activating a desire. Releasing energy through joyful expression, social engagements, and celebrations of all that is inspiring may be easily accessible to us. Blow off steam in ways that create rainbows in your wake.
At this lunar peak we have the opportunity to let go of psychic baggage, bad habits, and an inflated sense of obligation at the altar of things that no longer serve us. Rather than perpetuate cycles of toxicity or escapism, let us recommit to beliefs, practices, and people that remind us of our ability to repair and reconnect. Find ways to access joy and pleasure in the midst of your unfoldment.
“Unless we truly believe that the process of self-discovery is a joyous one we will never follow it through.” - Rachel Pollack
