Last night I woke up with this fragment of a dream.
The lighting of red candles on a dark night. Many hands, many flames.
At the Winter Solstice we find ourselves in the true underworld of our celestial cycle. The Sun is in the belly of its circular journey. Night dominates day. Here, in our darkest hours, we feel the proximity of darkness more than at any other time of year.
